Gatteo, one week dedicated to the friends
Where if not with Gatteo, country in whose communal coat of arms camps a beautiful gattone, could be the Holiday of the Micizia?!
Catlike games, it tells, music, competitions and exhibitions, sand sculptures carried out big and small to celebrate also in holiday the love for this animal, which lives in our houses and so many company does us.
Naturally dedicated to the cats and to them so many friends, the Week of the Micizia unwinds each year in the third week of July.

The program
The manifestation will open on Sunday on July 18 close to the Palace of the Tourism in Square of the Freedom to Gatteo to Sea. In program to the hours 21,30 the inauguration of the exhibition of the works announced to the edition 2010 photographic of the competitions and of painting “The Cat”.
In exhibition the arrived photos subdivided in three sections: Cats with their friends, Gatti of house, free Cats.

The works will go enriching the collection with art “Cats painted for a Museum of the cat” realised thanks to the contribution of so many Italian artists (Rò Marcenaro, Tinin Mantegazza, Pinin Carpi, Mario Rossello, Osvaldo Extracting Them, Emanuele Luzzati, Gino Paoli between others) that have given to the Municipality of Gatteo their work represented a cat.
In Square of the Freedom they will wave besides, for the whole week, the standards painted by the pupils of set designing of the Milanese Academy of Brera.
On Monday on July 19 to the hours 10.00 traditional rendezvous on the Gatteo beach to Sea for the competition of sculptures of sand, subject to the screen of a special jury.
At the hours 21.30 the Gatteo will be a Sea Village to gladden the evening in Square of the Freedom, with the liking of the team of animation and the comicality of Cat Comix.
On Tuesday on July 20 of good morning, to the hours 9.30, all on the beach for the most expected competition: the international run championship “to on all fours” that he will see competing, to four legs, children and grown-ups in the different categories.

On Friday on July 23 in the hours 21.30 prizegivings and celebrations in Square of the Freedom for all the winners of the competitions of painting, photography and sand sculptures, accompanied at a vivacious musical entertainment.
On Saturday on July 24 the Side of the Cats will entertain the children with child and the baby makes up dance from the hours 21.00 to the Gardens Don Guanella.
The sixteenth edition of the Week of the Micizia will conclude to the hours 21.30 in Square of the Freedom with the music of the Orchestrona of the School of Popular Music of Forlimpopoli, which will involve the public in a dragged evening of popular dances.
Every evening from the hours 19.00 until the hours 23.00 in Square of the Freedom close to the Office Tourist Information will be opened to the public the photographic exhibition ‘The Cat’ and the exhibition of art ‘Cats painted for a museum of the Cat’.
