Julio Capiozzo has been born to Boretto (KING) on February 18 1946.Giulio Capiozzo e’ nato a Boretto (RE) il 18 febbraio 1946.

Julio Capiozzo, founder together with Demetrio Stratos of the historical advanced group of the Area, é esteemed drummer jazz at world and precursory level of a new style.Giulio Capiozzo, fondatore insieme a Demetrio Stratos dello storico gruppo d’avanguardia degli Area, é considerato batterista jazz a livello mondiale e precursore di un nuovo stile.

The Memorial é a musicians' meeting that through sounds, harmonies, improvisations, jam-session, want to remember an artist that, with the rhythm of his battery and the scowl of his drumming it has been able to broadcast passion, energy, love, soul, leaving the indelible memory of a music that for him was a true reason of life, like it é for all those who will get on the box, friends and companions of adventure in the musical interlacement of research and improvisation, always in the centre of the time, as there was loving Capiozzo himself say.Il Memorial é un incontro di musicisti che attraverso suoni, armonie, improvvisazioni, jam-session, vogliono ricordare un artista che, col ritmo della sua batteria e la grinta del suo drumming ha saputo trasmettere passione, energia, amore, anima, lasciando il ricordo indelebile di una musica che per lui era una vera ragione di vita, come lo é per tutti coloro che saliranno sul palco, amici e compagni d’avventura nell’intreccio musicale di ricerca e improvvisazione, sempre al centro del tempo, come amava dire Capiozzo stesso.
