The holiday of the fish azzurroooooo!!!!

Cesenatico, after the frenetic summer season, does not close the leafs and sets itself to the attention of the autumnal visitors from October 30 near until the 1st November, with the gastronomic initiative “The Fish does Holiday”, become by now a traditional rendezvous.
The manifestation plans a rich one and paragraph plans.
The fishermen, thanks to a dispensation of the Ministry, will be able to go exceptionally to fishing on Saturday and Sunday and to sell the catch in Communal Fish shop.
The tastings of the plates based on fish will unwind nearby the Cologne Agip, while in the roads of the historical Centre of the city, the gastronomic stands will be organised where there will be able to be tasted, at moderate prices, the plates of the local tradition.
The bars shown on the Leonardesque Port will prepare the Aperitif of the Holiday, accompanied by appetizing tastings of fish, just to stimulate the appetite in the expectation of tasting the prescriptions to theme in whom the restorative supporters will be exhibited to the A.RI.CE. – Association Restorative Cesenatico – that will organise a true and own restaurant close to the historical Cologne Agip.
In the harbour zone of West, in the neighbourhoods of old Squero, the fishermen, inside a very capacious tensile structure, they will elaborate appetizers based on mussels and vongole, first succulent and the classics "rustide".
In the historical centre, as tradition, they will find space the stands of the Volunteers of Avis and of the fishermen's Association “Between the Sky and the Sea”, that will not prepare any typical plates of the of Romagna seafaring kitchen, like the skewers of fish, the fried mixture of the Adriatic one, the cuttlefishes with the peas and the passatelli for the fish broth.
There is confirmed also this year the participation of the friends of Vicenza, who will cook the product “prince“ of the local gastronomy, or the stockfish to the vicentina, and fishermen of the Sardinia.
The placing of the single stands with the relative menus and the prices of each course, they will be published on the special booklets that will be distributed, during the period of the manifestation, in all the commercial exercises and in the informative points displaced in the historical centre.
After the great success drawn last year, also in the edition of 2009 some restaurants of Cesenatico will present an extraordinary menu dedicated to the event.
The special menu will be composed by a hot and cold appetizer, a first one and a second, created by the best ingredients and secrets own of each restorative one, proposed at absolutely contained prices.
The fish is rigorously home and the freshest, only fished by our local fleet: triglie, mallets, anchovies, emptyings, squills, moletti, anchovies, and so on, will be able to be purchased directly close to the Communal Fish shop that will remain opened for the whole weekend.
With “The Fish does Holiday” the of Romagna small town becomes the attraction pole for all the gourmets and for the one who cannot renounce the taste and the perfume of sea.
This initiative of meeting and of holiday is born at the demand of appreciating the rich local ichthyic production, which on not faraway times was constituting the single fountain of economic income for the population of the of Romagna coast.
The blue fish of the Adriatic one was to the base of the alimentation of the inhabitants of the place and was an exchange object with the products of the vegetable gardens of the countrymen, also to vary the diet.
Now, rightly, there has been recognised the high alimentary value of the blue fish, richest of proteins and poorly of fats, tasty and still quite economic.
The consumption per head of fish in Italy, even if it has not reached the levels of other European Countries, records, in any case, a constant increase, so much it is truth that it is possible to say tripled in the last decade and today the ichthyic sector presents itself as an economic division of fundamental size.
Cesenatico is a seat of one of the most active ichthyic markets of our Country: International Organization for Standardization has obtained the certification 9002, it has a Manual of the Quality and boasts a turnover of further 8 million Euro for a total part-time servant of about 80 million Euro the year.
The fishing Cesenatico fleet is constituted by 100 boats and it gets off each year about 5.000 tons of fish.
