Cesenatico organises a Crib that is single in the world: there are no caves or huts with the paths covered with musk, the snow-clad tops and the fleecy clouds to the pasture to be done at background to the Nativity, but Fishing boats, It Beat, Lances, Trabaccoli, Trawlers and Barchèt, the ancient ones and coloratissime typical boats of the Adriatic one. Cesenatico allestisce un Presepe che è unico al mondo: non ci sono grotte o capanne con i sentieri coperti di muschio, le cime innevate e le pecorelle al pascolo a fare da sfondo alla Natività, ma Bragozzi, Battane, Lance, Trabaccoli, Paranze e Barchèt, le antiche e coloratissime imbarcazioni tipiche dell’Adriatico.

In the romantic frame of the port Leonardesque canal the ancient boats of the Museum of the Navy accomodate the Sacred Family, the Kings Magi and all the other personages.Nella romantica cornice del porto canale leonardesco le antiche imbarcazioni del Museo della Marineria ospitano la Sacra Famiglia, i Re Magi e tutti gli altri personaggi.

The Crib, started in 1986, is a work of the artists Maurizio Bertoni and I mine Savadori on project of Tinin Mantegazza and an idea of Guerrino Gardini.Il Presepe, iniziato nel 1986, è opera degli artisti Maurizio Bertoni e Mino Savadori su progetto di Tinin Mantegazza e da un’idea di Guerrino Gardini.

The first statue, after the sacred Family and the Kings Magi has been that one of S. Giacomo, Defence of Cesenatico.La prima statua, dopo la sacra Famiglia e i Re Magi è stata quella di S. Giacomo, Patrono di Cesenatico.

During the years if there it are other additions that represent several personages and moments of life of the local navy: the puppeteer with his toy theatre, the fishermen, the piadinaia, the player of accordion, the angels.Nel corso degli anni se ne sono aggiunte altre che rappresentano vari personaggi e momenti di vita della marineria locale: il burattinaio con il suo teatrino, i pescatori, la piadinaia, il suonatore di fisarmonica, gli angeli.

The faces, the hands, the feet and all the shown parts of the statues are sculptured in cirmolo wood. The suits are realised in cloth and the voluminous draperies (modeled on a tangled metal net), are obtained thanks to a layer of wax painted to heat.I volti, le mani, i piedi e tutte le parti esposte delle statue sono scolpiti in legno di cirmolo. Gli abiti sono realizzati in tela e i voluminosi drappeggi (modellati su un’intricata rete di metallo), sono ottenuti grazie ad uno strato di cera pennellata a caldo.

The colours are those with whom the sails were dyed and the wax is that one that was serving to soften the shrouds.I colori sono quelli con cui venivano tinte le vele e la cera è quella che serviva per ammorbidire il sartiame.

The inauguration of the Crib of the Navy will take place on Sunday on November 30 to the hours 17,00 and the lighting of the lights will be preceded by a great show with games of fire created by the company “Lumen I invoke”.L’inaugurazione del Presepe della Marineria avrà luogo domenica 30 novembre alle ore 17,00 e l’accensione delle luci sarà preceduta da un grande spettacolo con giochi di fuoco creato dalla compagnia “Lumen Invoco” .

In the holiday days of December and January, in occasion of the Crib of the Navy the Italian Posts prepare a special philatelic cancellation. Nei giorni festivi di dicembre e gennaio, in occasione del Presepe della Marineria le Poste Italiane predispongono uno speciale annullo filatelico.

For the whole Christmas period, besides, long the Port canal and in the historical centre musical shows will be organised, moments of animation, the traditional Christmas small market every Sunday of December on the port canal, and on December 31 rendezvous not to be lacked with “New Year's Day on the Port Canal”, with musical show of Dino Gnassi Corporation Band and show of fires of artifice to celebrate together the arrival of the new year.Per tutto il periodo natalizio, inoltre, lungo il Porto canale e nel centro storico verranno organizzati spettacoli musicali, momenti di animazione, il tradizionale mercatino di Natale tutte le domeniche di dicembre sul porto canale, e il 31 dicembre appuntamento da non mancare con “Capodanno sul Porto Canale”, con spettacolo musicale di Dino Gnassi Corporation Band e spettacolo di fuochi d’artificio per festeggiare insieme l’arrivo del nuovo anno.
